Required Trainings

All managers, coaches, and on-field assistants who interact directly with the kids must complete required trainings. These trainings must be renewed every year.

Visit the Required Trainings page for instructions to complete your trainings for the new season.

CCLL Rules

Here are the rules and regulations for Carson City Little League play.

Coaches should consider downloading the free Little League Rulebook App. The app contains the Official Regulations, Playing Rules, and Operating Policies for all baseball divisions.

What's new in the CCLL Local Rules for the Spring 2026 Season?

  • All Divisions:
    1. Minimum play time will follow Little League Regulation Rule IV(i) Mandatory Play (“a minimum of six (6) defensive outs”). The six defensive outs do not need to be consecutive.
  • Juniors/Seniors Division:
    1. Will use Continuous Batting Order (CBO) to be consistent with interleague and tournament play.
    2. To control game durations, no new inning will start after 2 hours 15 minutes.
  • AA Division:
    1. To manage game durations, especially on Saturdays with back-to-back games, all games will have a two-hour time-limit and no new inning will start after 1 hour 45 minutes. If a game is called due to the time-limit during an incomplete inning, the game ends at the end of the last previously completed inning (see Rule 17(a)).
    2. AA Division is the first division in CCLL that allows players to pitch. Rules were adopted to allow pitchers to develop while managing player safety and encouraging active game play (see Rule 19(a) for the complete rule).
      • (i) No Walks: Pitchers can strike batters out. Umpires will call balls and strikes. If a pitcher throws four (4) balls to a batter, then a coach for the batting team will come in and throw the remaining strikes to the batter.
      • (ii) Hit-by-pitch Limit: A pitcher will be removed from the pitching position if they hit 3 batters in an inning or 4 players in a game.
      • (iii) Runners shall not be awarded a stolen base while a coach is pitching. If a runner steals a base during a coach-delivered pitch, the runner is to return to their starting base.
  • AAA and Majors Divisions:
    1. To manage game durations, especially on Saturdays with back-to-back games, all games will have a two-hour time-limit and no new inning will start after 1 hour 45 minutes. If a game is called due to the time-limit during an incomplete inning, the game ends at the end of the last previously completed inning (see Rule 17(b) for AAA Division and 17(c) for Majors Division.
